Acting Judge-General for the Division of Independent Evaluation Development

The African Development Bank would like to announce the appointment of Karen ROT-MÜNSTERMANN as Acting Judge-General for the Independent Evaluation Development Department of the African Development Bank, with effect from 3 November 2020.

Mrs Karen ROT-MÜNSTERMANN, a Dutch citizen, is currently the Manager of the Knowledge Management, Outreach and Capacity Development Division of the Independent Evaluation Division.

Prior to joining the Bank in 2009, she was a senior policy adviser at the Dutch Ministry of Finance (Treasury, Foreign Financial Relations). She joined the African Independent Evaluation Development Department of the African Development Bank in June 2014, after which she worked in the Bank’s resource mobilization department, where she was responsible for the African Development Fund’s three-year replenishment process and the allocation of the fund’s resources. to African countries. Karen was acting director for the Department of Independent Evaluation from September 2018 to August 2019.

With more than 20 years of experience in international relations and development, Karen holds a record of managing constructive working relationships and high-level dialogue. She can smoothly coordinate demonstrable activities with bank staff and management of the Bank, representatives of donor countries, multilateral development banks, as well as other stakeholders on a wide range of policies, strategies and issues related to the African Development Fund and the Bank’s operations. . .

Karen holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Leiden, the Netherlands. She also holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Warwick, UK.
