Covid-19’s Death Toll stands at 44,467 across Africa

As of November 7, the confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 1,855,264. Reported deaths in Africa reached 44,467 and recovered 1,540,801.

South Africa has the most reported cases – 734 175, with deaths numbering 19 749. Other countries most affected include Morocco (246,349), Egypt (108,754), Ethiopia (98,746), Tunisia (66,334) and Libya (65,444).

The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) uses statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well as national and regional public health divisions.
