Ten multilateral development banks (MDBs) will sign a High Level Joint Declaration reaffirming their commitment to an ambitious and integrated approach to road safety. The ceremony takes place virtually on November 16, 2020, following the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims 2020.
The statement emphasizes the importance that the Sustainable Development Objectives (SDGs) give to road safety, as well as its key role in striving for a wide range of development priorities from respective client countries.

The proclamation of the UN General Assembly, dated 31 August 2020, for the second decade of road safety action, aims to reduce road traffic fatalities and injuries by at least 50% from 2021 to 2030.
