The ruling chamber of the FIFA Independent Ethics Committee has just declared Ahmad Ahmad, president of the Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF), and vice-president of FIFA, responsible for acting in violation of the FIFA code of ethics.
Consequently, the ruling chamber banned him from all football-related activities (administrative, sports and others) at national and international level for five years.
CAF and CAF President take note of this decision which puts Ahmad Ahmad in the position that he is no longer able to carry out his responsibilities.
Under its statutes announce CAF that the current interim Mr. Constant Selemani Omari is renewed as president of CAF.
The Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF), concerned about the reputation consequences of this lengthy procedure, maintains the schedule of all its activities and programs.
