More than 20 million Covid-19 tests are conducted across the continent

On November 26, the confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 2,107,358. The reported deaths in Africa reached 50,647 and recovered 1,781,750. The number of Covid-19 tests performed to date is 20,298,868.

South Africa has the most cases – 775 502, with deaths 21,201. Other countries most affected include Morocco (336,506), Egypt (114,107), Ethiopia (107,109), Tunisia (91,307) and Libya (79,797).

The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) uses statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well as national and regional public health divisions.
