This year, the 16 Days of Activism campaign will take the form of a series of reflections on gender-based violence (CSR), in a year in which all communities are experiencing the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on health and socio-economics.
As the world has retreated into homes due to the lock-in measures, reports have shown a worrying increase in the already existing pandemic of violence against women.
Under the theme of this year, the African Development Bank is launching a series of initiatives to celebrate the 16-day campaign around Africa “Orange the world: fund, respond, prevent, collect!” to support women and girls who have experienced GBV.
The country’s office in Mozambique organizes a series of webinars that bring together academics, civil society representatives and other stakeholders to make young people aware of sexual and productive rights and efforts to end violence against women and girls.
The series of three webinars seeks to address CSR challenges through focused discussions on the following topics:
