Africa: Rate of Covid-19 Infections, Vaccinations Climbs Across Continent

As of May 19, 2022, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached  11,654,807 while over  298,002,829 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached  253,556 and  9,759,336 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases of  3,908,020 and  100,867 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (  1,166,100 ) , Tunisia (  1,041,789 ), Egypt (  515,645 ), Libya (  501,904 ),  Ethiopia (  471,089 ), and Kenya (  324,097 ).
