Africa: Covid-19 Infections, Recoveries Climb Across Continent

As of June 16, 2022, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 11,799,306  while  313,272,778 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached  254,458 and  9,934,980 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases of 3,981,739  and  101,576 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (  1,179,474 ) , Tunisia (  1,044,426 ), Egypt (  515,645 ), Libya (  502,076 ),  Ethiopia (  481,225  ), and Kenya (  327,892 ).
