Americans have decided!

Former Vice President Joe Biden passed the threshold of 270 Electoral College needed to win the 2020 presidential election on Saturday, November 7, which saw him elected President of the United States and Senator Kamala Harris elected president.

The just-concluded U.S. 2020 election was a much-contested and fought election, manifested in the prospect of the outcome during election week. In the composition of election day, millions of Americans showed more to vote by mail because of coronavirus, which even in some cases resulted in a delay in counting votes.

Trump has not yet conceded defeat and claims he has major fraud without any evidence of it. This allegation claims that even some people within the Republican camp found it very disturbing. And now his campaign has promised to challenge the outcome at the U.S. Supreme Court. Under federal law, states must give an official vote “as soon as possible.” These rates are subject to legal challenges and reports, the criteria and timeline of which are regulated under the laws of individual states.

In some states, such as Pennsylvania, it automatically causes a retelling when the race is near. In Pennsylvania, it is anything below a 0.5 percent margin between candidates. In others, such as Wisconsin, where the Trump campaign said it would seek a retelling, it must be prompted by a request from a candidate.

To the extent that we agree with Trump that it is his constitutional right to demand retrials and to investigate when the evidence justifies it, but his claim that ‘the election was unwavering, corrupt and stolen’ was the least unexpected.

America was a champion in promoting democratic values and principles. And that includes promoting free, fair and transparent elections. We all know around the world that emerging, middle-income and even the most developed countries are looking to America to promote democracy. The whole world is watching America.

Interestingly, America has a different way of electing its leaders. Instead of relying on popular votes, it tends to focus more on the Electoral College votes, which are a group of presidential voters required by the Constitution to compile every four years for the sole purpose of electing the president. and to elect a vice-president. Each state, according to its legislators, nominates voters, equal to the congressional division, but federal office bearers cannot be voters. Of the current 538 voters, an absolute majority of 270 or more electoral votes are required to elect the president and vice president. If no candidate obtains an absolute majority there, a conditional election is held by the U.S. Congress to elect the president and vice president.

We hereby call on Donald J. Trump to concede defeat and help a peaceful transition as was done with him by his predecessor, so that the world can have a new hope in a democracy run by millions across the world is admired.

“If you believe in yourself and have self-control and are proud and never stop, you will be a winner. The prize of victory is the benefits.”
