Egypt’s mufti Shawki Allam greeted Thursday Christians in Egypt and all over the world on the New Year.
Allam stressed that the Muslims’ celebration of the New Year is permissible and not forbidden.
He stressed that Al Azhar and Darul Iftaa are sharing the same methodology, that greeting Christians on their festivals is not forbidden.
