As of March 15, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 4,036,012 while over 5,161,375 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.
Reported deaths in Africa reached 107,821 and 3,622,399 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases – 1,529,420 – and 51,326 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 488,937 ), Tunisia ( 241,834 ), Egypt ( 190,924 ), Ethiopia ( 175,467 ), and Nigeria ( 160,657 ).
