Tunis/Tunisia — Thirty-four more COVID-19 deaths and a further 766 confirmed cases from 4,539 tests were reported on March 16, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday evening in its daily report on the epidemiological situation in the country.
The death count soared to 8,463, while the number of infections hit 243,439, the ministry added.
Recoveries rose to 210,375 with 620 more patients recovering.
The ministry said 1,018 patients are currently staying in public and private healthcare facilities, including 264 in intensive care and 95 on life support.
