As of March 28, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 4,174,404 while over 6,349,126 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.
Reported deaths in Africa reached 111,730 and 3,762,688 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases – 1,544,466 – and 52,648 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 494,358 ), Tunisia ( 249,703), Egypt ( 199,364 ), Ethiopia ( 198,794 ), and Nigeria ( 162,489 ).
