Tunisia: President Saied Arrives in Rome

Tunis/Tunisia — (TAP correspondent Maroua Ben Abdennebi) – President Kais Saied on Wednesday arrived to the Rome Ciampino Airport on a two-day official visit, at the invitation of his Italian counterpart Serjio Mattarella.

Accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister Othman Jerandi, the Head of State was seen in by Italian Foreign Affairs Minister Luigi Di Maio, Tunisia’s Ambassador to Italy Moez Sinaoui and a dozen of Arab Ambassadors.

Kais Saied is expected to meet with Serjio Mattarella and Prime Minister Mario Draghi.

This visit aims to boost the bilateral cooperation in various fields and share points of view on regional and international issues of joint interest, a Presidency of the Republic press release reads.
