Africa: Covid-19 Death Toll Nears 160,000 Across Continent

Cape Town — As of July 21 confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 6,290,919 while over 39,472,679 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached 159,585 and 5,457,963 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases 2,311,232 and 67,676 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (562,416), Tunisia (554,911), Egypt (283,762), Ethiopia (277,877), Libya (226,701) and Kenya (193,807).
