Tunisia: Police Raids a House Near Residence of French Ambassador in La Marsa (Moi)

Tunis/Tunisia — The police raided one of the houses in La Marsa near the residence of the French ambassador to Tunisia, in coordination with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, following intelligence reports of suspicious activities.

“Tunnelling works were discovered there,” the Interior Ministry indicated in a press release, adding that after checking, it turned out that one of the people frequenting the house was an individual known for his extremism.

The National Guard’s counter-terrorism directorate was tasked with conducting the investigation in coordination with the prosecutor’s office, the same source added, affirming that the case is under follow-up at the highest level.
