Africa: Over 123 Million Vaccinations Administered Across the Continent

Cape Town — As of November 5, 2021, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached  8,518,777 while over 123,180,333 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached  219,086 and  7,878,965 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases  2,923,054 and 89,251 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (  946,957 ), Tunisia ( 713,071 ), Ethiopia ( 366,424 ), Libya ( 360,865 ), Egypt ( 334,751 ) and Kenya ( 253,661 ).

The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well as national and regional public health departments.
