Kenya: Implement Nadco Report Within Agreed Timelines, ODM Tells Kenya Kwanza

Siaya — Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders from Siaya now want the Kenya Kwanza leadership to implement the national dialogue committee (NADCO) report within the agreed timelines lest the opposition calls on Kenyans to return to the streets.

Led by Siaya governor, James Orengo, the leaders lamented that the government side was not keen on implementing what was agreed on during the negotiations something that they said threatens the stability of the nation.

Speaking during the Siaya County ODM delegates consultative forum, Orengo said that the party and the Azimio coalition will have no alternative but return to the people should UDA and the Kenya Kwanza government renege of the agreement.

The forum was attended by among others, Siaya Senator Dr. Oburu Oginga, County MP Dr. Christine Ombaka and MPs Opiyo Wandayi (Ugunja), Otiende Amollo (Rarieda) and Samuel Atandi (Alego/Usonga)

Governor Orengo at the same time maintained that there was no leadership vacuum in the ODM, laughing off alleged succession politics within the party.

Orengo, who read the meeting resolutions, said that the party fully supports former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, adding that the delegates have resolved to enhance the party recruitment across the region.
